Adhesive removal

Introduction

Use this guide to safely remove adhesive from your car's paintwork.

Steps

1. Equipment

Gather the following equipment in order to complete this guide. The links below direct you to the exact products I used.

2. Remove

  1. Apply about 2ml of adhesive remover to the adhesive and let it sit for at least 3 minutes.

  2. If the adhesive is quite vicous use a plastic scraper to loosen most of it.

  3. Next, wipe down the remainder of the adhesive with a paper towel.

  4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 until all adhesive is removed.

4. Clean

  1. After most of the adhesive has been removed, apply a little isopropyl alcohola dn wiper it down with some paper towel to remove any excess adhesive remover.

🏁 Conclusion

With Koch Chemie Tea removing adhesive is really effective. However, if like me, you used Gorilla tape to secure a temporary tarp roof, it'll probably take 3 or 4 attempts of step 2 to fully remove all the adhesive.
